Here is one show you will not want to miss! Filmmaker, photographer, and all around visual artist, Dan Popa is bringing his ‘La République de Mira‘ show to Montreal! It was originally shown HERE earlier in the season, following an art residency during which he created this body of work.
These collage pieces tell stories of the rise and fall of a republic that never existed, using original and archived paper documents (pamphlets, booklets, tickets, etc) dating back to his grand-mother’s travels through Eastern Europe.
The vernissage is being held TOMORROW NIGHT :
